Murals Inspire Local Nursing Home Residents!

Murals at Oceanside!


Recently, I had the privilege of visiting Tybee Island. I was asked to come from Atlanta to paint murals at Oceanside Nursing Center. While it was rainy and cold all week, spirits were sunny inside the nursing center as residents enjoyed watching me paint each day. The residents and staff were so kind and appreciative. I also found the locals at Tybee to be friendly and happy, I realized to the residents at Oceanside, Tybee is their home and I wanted the paintings to be all things "Tybee.” One sweet lady commented, "I can't go out to the beach anymore, so you've brought it inside to me". That was exactly my intentions and knew my mission had been accomplished through the paintings. I was invited to return in a couple of weeks to paint more!  I have attached photos.
